This very picture was the inspiration and model of an excellent Uwe Feist book titled Die Wehrmacht. Die Wehrmachthas become (along with Volume Two of the same series) the bible of reenactors, modelers and armchair history nerds everywhere.
This volume is also a major plus for you folks who Gunblr/own high-capacity-clits/Kriegsboners as it has superb info on various MPs/MGs/Pistols.
Uwe Feist has been around a long time, evidence is vast number of Squadron/Signal books he did. Not only is he an excellent author, his art is also top notch. The painting of this photo being firsthand evidence of his skill.
