Woah, sorry. I was just joking, man. I apologize if I was offensive, it wasn’t my intention to put anyone down for reenacting, and I very well know the differences between cosplay and reenactment.
Anyways, I guess that was a bit of a dick move on my part (if in good fun).
To be fair: as reenactors we love getting all kitted up and running around playing cowboys and indians and nerding out on history... but at the end of the day we reenact to portray accurately the uniforms, equipment, tactics, and lifestyle of a soldier during the greatest conflict the world has seen.
We enjoy studying the history, and the research done when putting together an authentic impression. I myself have been at it for 10 years and still get way excited for events, and am studying constantly.
