A knocked out Sturmgeschutz IV has features seen on the later production batches, such as : a single 80mm-thick armor plate on the starboard side of the casemate front; mount for the Rundumfeuer MG (remote controlled 360 rotational MG42), Nahverteidigungswaffe (smoke candle/flare discharger) and Pilza for the fitting of a Kran (jib-crane mount) on the roof plate.
