(preamble:I think it’s part of the human condition to think what is normal for yourself is normal for everybody else, this of course if proven wrong again and again when people reveal their innermost feelings and thoughts.)
So to answer your question, while those posts serve as personal thing or intimate (if you know me) part of myself, they also make me think. Aberrant human behavior, Sadism, and death have always been of interest as far back as I could remember, so they will pop up from time to time.
I also feel that certain taboo subjects are easily glossed over as “teen rebellion” or “shock value” by the drones. I find most of the hangers-on to be boorish dilettantes who don’t take initiative and let others dictate their tastes. Not that that idea is “wrong”, but there has to be self-awareness as to why it gratifies you, rather than just because it’s the cool thing.
I strive to be diligent and discerning in the majority of arenas in my life, and those who know me can attest to my zest in many interests.
Ian Brady is one of the few who did not apologize for his crimes, nor did he make an ecumenical stance. In reading Gates of Janus, I saw an articulate, selfish, and intellectual sadist who was unapologetic in his Weltanschauung.
In regards to the more prurient posts, I live for my pleasure and I’ve found more about myself and who I am from the most base of these human-animal expressions.
Sex is and always will be one of our primal urges, and the beauty of the human mind is how everything old becomes new again, albeit with little personal nuances. But this is where I end this topic. I also don’t feel a need to pontificate or proselytize my tastes. We all have our own peccadilloes.
As for the handsome part, careful who is watching you…
