In July/August 1943 the 24.Pz.Div. was re-equipped and re-fitted after it’s near total destruction at Stalingrad. From then on (until Oct. 44) the Pz.Rgt.24 only had their 3rd Battalion (Abteilung) equipped with Strmgeseutchzen, until their 9. and 11.Kompanie were refitted with StuG. units of their own.
