Panzerkampfwagen ‘Tiger’ Ausf.B, Fgst.Nr. V1 ( Fahrgestell-Nummer or chassis number, Versuchs 1) with Porsche turret completed by Henschel in November 1943.
The Tiger Fgst.Nr. V1 has hinged flat mudguards on the front, lack of Zimmerit, no too storage clasps and like the VK 45.02 (P) test-bed the MP-port has been welded shut.
The The initial prototype VK 45.02 (H) and VK 45.03 for the Tiger two were developed by Krupp, the main differences were the Turret designs by Henschel (H) and Porsche (P) (this does not include the rear mounted turret chassis versions designed by Porsche as well as other “variants”).
Of the proposed 1,500 Tiger II’s production, only 450 were built by the war’s end.
