Great display of firepower from the soldiers of Leibstandarte Division along fenced area of a Ukrainian farmhouse during Operation Barbarossa in 1941. If the sniper fire is not adequate, a few bursts from the MG 34 machine gun will suppress any enemy activity.
There was another tactic which involved posting a DMR within view causing Russians (which were given rewards for killing German snipers) to give their positions by maximising their fire on the German positions to which the MG crew would fire tracer rounds for artillery crews to pound “Dass Arsch” into oblivion.
