Plate01:One of the last turrets for the Pz.Kpfw.VI Tiger Ausf.B completed by Weggman und Co’s Kessel plant. The abbreviation “gepr.” (inspected) and the date 21./3.(21 March 1945) were chalked on the turret side. All of the last modifications had been completed on this turret. These include welding three sets of hangers fore and aft on both turret sides for spare single link track, welding five loops on both sides of the turret for holding camouflage as well as welding a single post on top of the left periscope guard on the cupola as a base for a swiveling anti-aircraft MG mount.
Plate02: A stack of ten Weggman und Ko. made Pz.Kpfw.VI Tiger Ausf.B hulls. The turret featured above and the ten Tiger Ausf.B hulls were all shipped to the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. The Tiger with turret mounted was later sent to the Panzer Museum in Munster Germany.
