It really depends, but for the most part I use the porcelain pipe for smoking ‘dessert tobaccos’ as the “taste” of the pipe will not interfere with the tobacco in question. But I really am an old-schooler Brit pipe smoker at heat. I prefer a nice briar pipe over anything…give me a tin of Germain’s any day!
