The Brückengerät-B (Bridge Device-B) near Annopol crossed the Vistula which was heavily silted up. On September 15,1939 the construction of the bridge had been ordered, and on the next day it had been finished under the supervision of Senior Engineer Commander of the 10.Battalion. The General Officer Commanding of the 6.Armeekorps, General Schwendler, found special purpose of the work accomplished by the Pioneer Battalion.
