A Jagdpanzer IV/70(a) of 7.Kompanie/Panzer-Regiment 2 attached to Panzer-Brigade 106, here photographed by the US 1st Infrantry Division at Himberg, Germany on 19 March, 1945.
It would appear that vehicles issued to 7.Kp./Pz.Rgt.2 had stayed with the Brigade since their employment in the Alsace in December 1944. This example has a battle scar on the mantlet and evidence of an internal explosion which has lifted the roof from the fighting compartment.
