This weeks installment/rant is about hating on people who want to further themselves through reading, and do so while in public.

It really upsets me (amongst a metric shit-tonne of other crap) that in this day in age, people are still looking at others who want to better themselves with suspicion. We live in a golden age where information that was once only to be used by Royalty, Papacy, and other “elite” groups is now at our fingertips.
I’ve even over heard some meat-head (in the most contumacious manner mind you) say: “I don’t know why pretty girls bother reading, nobody will take them serious outside of wanting to bang them.”
This is what we have as so called civilized come to…still hating those who have knowledge, hating those who might know something you don’t, still sexist (yes even women can be sexist) to the point that a person who is well read, intelligent and thought provoking is not considered to be attractive.
So here is your 15 minutes of fame Mr. Douche-bag sexist, illiterate idiot, you might have thought that was a funny statement…but you’re mistaken. I hope the poor woman who takes your hand in marriage cuts your dick off with a butter-knife, ties you to the bed and sets you along with the house on fire.
And for those other who love reading, and do it every chance they get no matter where the location, here’s to you! May your mind be enlightened, may your information propel you to new heights and my you be blessed in whatever endeavor it is you have. You’re not alone, and you have quiet admirers.
