Oddly enough the word “Wiccan” was coined in the mid 20th century, and as like stated above is a mish-mash of what “they” wanted to use, and get by with that ole BS pastiche of “white light” spiritualism. How telling is it when you speak to one, and ask them the basis for their belief system it sounds an awful lot like Christianity, but with the head sentient being a woman. Just sounds too much like an inversion of Christianity for my tastes. I have no qualm with Pagans per se, as long as they are truthful with their beliefs and know the basis of it. This bleaching of any and all religion is ridiculous at best, and historical revision at its absolute worst. The next Wiccan who gets out of hand is getting thrown in a peat-bog!
