Insanity of Living

Today I was honored with speaking with a good pal and talented person. I’ve known him since around 2005. Over that course of time I have watched him on a few docus on esoteric matters, as well as his company expand to make some beautiful statuary that commands high prices as they are not only very realistic, they are also only made in small batches since the process deteriorate the molds at a fast rate. While there is a good deal of work, the technique produces very visually stunning statues for the more esoteric sense of aesthetics.

Well said person and I spoke, and if all works out I might be working in this great human’s shop learning all business aspects as well as the creative end. The fact he even considered me is nothing short of an honor and a half.

I am so grateful.

I now digress.

What appears to be the Autumn side of a first pattern Berincht-Eichenlaubmuster Waffen-SS smock.
As far as collectors and historians go, it is believed that this specific camouflage material was never made into a second pattern smock, and is often misidentified as Eichenlaubmuster.

HUGE NEWS AND THE REASON I HAVE NOT BEEN POSTING MUCH

The big news is that my good friend and comrade Michael Kalb is joining the Arkham Studios team the first week in September.

Michael is coming aboard to share his wealth of knowledge of casting and molding as well as model building some amazing things of his own!

For a long time now I’ve unfortunately been so far behind on shipping out orders in an expedient manner that Michael’s skill and talent will be a huge asset in the workshop as he helps get rid of “back order mountain” once and for all. It happens and when it does, all you can do is to bust out the work as fast as you can, so this will come as good news to those patient folks who have been waiting for their busts and figures!

Once that’s accomplished, hopefully within a month or two, there’ll be a lot more breathing room to create new sculptures faster and either have them in stock or ready to ship within a week, so the untimely delays will a thing of the past.

Michael will also be an administrator for this page as well as posting a few of HIS favorite songs on the ol’ Arkham jukebox, too!

It’s been said that Michael and I look kind of like brothers, so I hope that’s not an insult to the poor guy!

We’ll have an Arkham Studios video update with Michael himself soon, so in the meantime I’ll ask you all to chime in and extend a warm welcome to a solid pal and a fellow who will help to make Arkham Studios that much better.

Welcome to Michael!

My New Job

This is what I will be doing, yeah pretty glamorous right?
For those of you who are avid readers of Howard Philips Lovecraft’s Dream Cycles and Cthulhu Mythos I cannot suggest  enough picking up one of Arkham Studio’s limited Cthulhu, HP Lovecraft or Abdul al Hazred - The Mad Arab statues and busts, as well as your other favorite Anti-Heroes…like Alister Crowley, Anton LaVey ad of course Where would be be without good ole Satan*?

Obviously for those who pay attention on here, one of my vices is Exploitation and Horror films. Growing up I wanted to be Vincent Price. I thought you could honestly (hah!) be a “villain” as a career. Now, I get to not only learn production and business side of this, I will be working side-by-side with one of my all time favorite artists, Mr. Bryan Moore. Oh, and by the way, he was in the Guinness World of Records for the longest Hearse procession, for which he headed.

For all those who know me, gave me encouragement, told me when I was being an asshole and or a jackass, and called me a friend, thank you.
As much of a misanthrope as I am, I am indeed grateful of my Friends and to you dear followers peers thank you for all.

*(Psssst…Next up will be Lucifer, then Belial and finally Leviathan, so stay tuned kids!)

Ladies, may I introduce you to my pal, boss and mentor, Bryan Moore. And yes he is single!

Trailer for Tod Browning’s Freaks.

This is a classic film for many reasons, and also the movie I was watching when my pal Bryan called and said I have the gig. How fitting, eh?

ARKHAM STUDIOS:
About the Artist, Bryan Moore.

Bryan began his career as a sculptor in 1984, working on many horror films such as the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, Jumanji, and Mortal Kombat, all the way to current offerings such as Underworld 2, The Cave and Backwater. TV work includes Tales from the Darkside, Monsters, Love and Curses and the new Sci-Fi Channel special Monsters of the UFO

When much of the FX work shifted over to computer, Bryan gravitated into the blossoming toy and collectible market, spending five years as a staff sculptor at Mattel Toys working on such classic brands as Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Disney product.

In 2002, Bryan opened Arkham Studios, to provide the toy industry with high quality prototyping and final product. Current clients include Universal, Mattel, BMW, Jakks Pacific and Burger King.

In addition, Arkham Studios now offers it’s own line of literary and occult figurines for the high end collectible market.

WHAT JOB IS THAT I WANT THAT JOB

Fallschirmjager:
I work for Arkham Studios, and my boss Bryan Moore happens to be a classic Hearse collector and aficionado. He’s also been in the Guinness World of Records for the longest Hearse procession. I am one lucky fellow, to say the least.

HOT

Fallschirmjager:
Yeah, she is one beautiful car to say the least. Bryan has went through a lot to get her running and it shows.

That is so awesome.

Fallschirmjager:
Yeah Miss, you sure ain’t kidding. Not only do I land my dream job, I get perks like this. I’ll have to post a video here soon of her purring, talk about a beautiful cacophony of metal…
