A Hungarian soldier looking off into the distance, most likely in Russia.
When I found this picture, I came to think the person who posted it believed it to be a German soldier. What got me thinking otherwise was that little bracket under the rear helmet rivet, something that wasn’t done (to my knowledge, and don’t get me wrong, I am sure somewhere there is at least one helmet done in the same manner) on WWII German helmets.
It took me a little bit of research and voile’ I found a little article on WWII Hungarian helmets and there it was, an M38 Stahlhelm with a bracket welded just a few MM under the rear rivet.
